Location

This lodge is perfectly located In Musanze District close to the Volcanoes national park for gorilla tracking and is 3km from the park’s main entrance and takes a 2 hours drive from the Kigali air port.It is located at the foot hills  of virunga ranges, consisting of beautiful views of volcanoes rolling hills and the surrounding country side.

This lodge was constructed and  managed by Governors’ Camp. It is owned by a Community-Trust called SACOLA that utilizes rentals as well as community fees obtained from the lodge to run conservation plus socio-economic initiatives in the park’s nearby local communities.

The lodge comprises of  cottages all having  stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes, and are well spaced offering good privacy. The cottages are spacious comprising of a sitting room area with a fireplace, bedroom, dressing room, 24 hour electricity and a large bathroom with bath and shower with hot and cold running water.The lodge also has balconies where visitors can relax  or have breakfast.

The base of the lodge has been considered to be the perfect place from which tourists can wish to explore the unique and fascinating corner of Africa.There are also some interesting social  and cultural  projects to visit.
