Day 1:Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Enjoy a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park after your morning breakfast, with an en route visit to Nyanza king’s palace, Butare National museum. Dinner and overnight stay at your perfect lodge
Day 2:Chimp Trekking and afternoon canopy walk
Have breakfast before 6.00 am and embark on chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest. Expect to meet other primates such as colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons among others, as well as forest birds, and butterflies. Go for a canopy walk after your lunch, which will provide you with spectacular aerial views of the entire National park and wildlife. Return in the evening for Dinner and overnight in your lodge.
Day 3:Tansfer to Volcanoes national park
Wake up as early as possibe, have breakfast, check out of the lodge and have a scenic drive northwards to Volcanoes National park in Ruhengeri,a home of endandered Mountain Gorillas. Dine and sleep in order to prepare for the next day.
Day 4:Gorilla tracking
Assemble at the park headquarters for briefing at 7:00am .With your lunch box and water,proceed to the forest to track the gorillas, an activity that will take you between 1-8 hours depending on the movement of the apes in their natural wild. After meeting and staying in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of an hour, return to your lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to Ib’iwachu Cultural Village. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 5:Dian Fossey hike
Assemble at the park headquarters in the morning for briefing, and later hike up to Karisoke research center, established by Dian Fossey, an American primatologist who dedicated all her life studying and conserving the lives of mountain gorillas until she was killed and buried next to Digit, a silver back gorilla she loved most. You will then learn more about the lives of the mountain gorillas at the research center. On return, transfer to Machsion falls National park with a visit to the top of the fall for a remarkable sight of the Nile crossing through a narrow gorge 7m wide before plunging 43m deep into the Devil’s cauldron and later drive to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6:Game drive and launch cruise
Wake up early, have a heavy break fast and embark on your game drive where your expected to meet :Lions, buffaloes, water bucks,. Jackson’s heart beast, Rothschild giraffe, and oribi among others. Return to your hotel for lunch and set off for an awesome launch cruise for a wide view of :hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and several other water birds like the shoebill. Return to your hotel for dinner and an over night to prepare for the next activity the following day.
Day 7:Transfer to Kibale national park
Have an early breakfast, sign out and depart for Kibale.The drive will go through the Albertan escarpment of the western arm of the East African rift valley with dramatic views of lake Albert, traditional homesteads and scenic views of the Rwenzori mountains. You will reach Fort portal late in the evening, Your dinner and an overnight at your hotel.
Day 8:Chimp trekking and transfer to queen Elizabeth national park
After Breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a short briefing and then enter into the forest for a chimp trekking adventure. Meet other other primate species such as the Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys, Olive baboons etc, that gives the forest a crown of the Primate capital of the World. Return for lunch and later Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with a wide view of some animals en route such as the Elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs among others. Arrive in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 9: game drive and boat cruise
Begin your day with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains after your morning breakfast as you expect to meet the :bush buck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes, Lions, elephants among others. You will later return at the lodge for a late breakfast, relax as you wait for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel for a wide view of yawning hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, various bird species such as red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoe bill stock among others. Return at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your preferred lodge/hotel
Day 10: Departure
After your breakfast, you will be driven back to Kigali and if you still have time, then explore the city and visit the Genocide Memorial sites, art and Crafts shop, museums after which you will be dropped at your airport to catch up with your scheduled flight.
