Welcome to Rwanda Travelers Guide

Day 1:Arrival

You will  meet  our tour guide at Entebbe airport, who will brief you about your trip details and transfer  you to your hotel in Kampala. First you either go for a city tour: visiting Namugongo martyrs shrine, Kasubi royal tombs, Kabaka’s lake, Bahai temple and the Uganda Museum. Visit the local markets and craft villages and later return to your lodge OR, Relax at your hotel for  dinner and and an overnight.

Day 2:Transfer   to Jinja

After  your morning breakfast, the driver will drive you to Jinja to have a city tour  with stopover to any hotel/restaurant or you can also have en-route lunch on your journey within Jinja town. You  will also be able to visit the the source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls.

However you can first begin with white water rafting  which which  kicks off at 10:00am before other activities then back to Kampala for your dinner and an over night in your hotel.

Day 3:Tranfer to Kibale

Have  an early morning breakfast and embark on  journey to Kibale National Park. Apark that offers varied tracts of tropical forest, 13 primate species, 70 mammal species.  This journey may take abour  5- 7 hours to reach Fort Portal, abase for activities  around the park.

On your arrival, you will be availed with lunch after which you will proceed  for awalk along the crater lakes back in your hotel for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Chimp Tracking  and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Get yourself ready to track chimps after your morning breakfast. Not only will you track chimps but also learn more about the Flora and Fauna.Have en-route lunch as you  head to Queen Elizabeth national park,  famous for its diverse ecosystem, 10 primate species, 600 bird species and extensive big  game .You will then rest  and have dinner plus and an overnight in your hotel.

Day 4: Morning game drive and After noon game drive

Take your breakfast and set off for a game drive in the rolling savannah plains, extending to the Kasenyi  Tracks exploring the parks  unique landscape  with  variety of wild game  such as: Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, water buck, jackals among others. After your 3-4 hours of your game drive, you will then go for your lunch and relaxation; after which you will catch up with your afternoon boat cruise at Mweya Jetty. You  will also as well  enjoy the view of the Nile croccodiles  and other wild game at the shores of the lake. Connect then to your hotel for relaxation , dinner and an pver night.

Day 5:Transfer to the Isasha  sector and a whole day game.

After breakfast, embark on the drive to Ishasha sector in the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The sector is a dwelling area for the tree climbing lions and other range of wild game. Encountering this unique wild game hanging on fig tree branches is a rewarding encounter that you can ever undertake. The stretch to Democratic Republic of Congo boarder is also interesting. The Ishasha sector also has elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, water bucks among other wild game that will occupy you the whole day. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Have Breakfast and drive southwards to  Ugandas  oldest and most diverse Rain forest: “Bwindi Impenetrable National park. This park is famous it 320 mountain gorilla species, 400 plant species, 350 bird species and 120 mammal species. Meet our safari walk guide who will  take you for aforest walk which may lust for 7 hours to mkuringo on the soouthern side.

Our driver will then take you back to your lodge to  relax,  and have dinner and an overnight.

Day 6:Mountain Gorilla trekking

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart with your packed lunch and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing, before entering the jungle for your tracking experience.. Gorilla Trekking can take  from 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. On your encounter, spend an hour in the presence of the Gorillas and then slope to catch up with your driver to take you back to your hotel, or either go for hiking in the foot hills and visiting communities.

Day 7: Visting the Batwa- Pygmies and their  local  communities.

After your breakfast, visit the Batwa ,enjoy  walking throuth the Batwa cultural trail and experience  an incredible day hike in the rain forest with Batwa guides. You will also have the opportunity of learnig more about they lived and hunted, their medicinal plants ,their animals and birds also suitable for watching.

Have your great time enjoying their cultural mmeals, participate in the mock hunting party by testing your skill with their bows, arrows and their spears after   which you can then get back to your lodge for  dinner and an over night.

Day 8:Transfer to Lake bunyonyi.

Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi after your early morning breakfast.  The drive will lust for 3-4 hours  as you nwill arrive  for  perfect lunch and go for an after noon boat rideon Lake Bunyonyi visiting the different islands and experiencing the local lifestyles of the people that live on the islands and witness their way of living including blacksmiths, crafts men and the local women displaying their weaving skills. Dinner and overnight at your hotel/lodge

Day 9:Transfer to Volcanoes National park

Wake up at your own  time, checkout  from your hotel and leave for Rwanda with en-route lunch. On reaching Ruhengeri, check in your hotel and go  visit the Iby’Iwachu cultural village where you learn more about then the Rwandese culture. Be the the lucky client to be crowned king for that day enjoy their activities such as: potery making , traditional dances, community walks, among others

Day 10: Gorilla trekking

Out of bed before 6:00 am, have your breakfast, pick your lunchbox with at least a liter of bottled water,  and then the our driver will drive you to the headquarters at  kinigi  for briefing .You will be grouped  according to your fitness and also the gorilla families ,after then you will leave for your trekking activity.

It may take about 2-8hrs while in the jungle looking for the gorilla group depending on how far they have moved. On your encounter, spend an hour in their presence as you watch them do their everyday  chores and also take their pictures   but your cameras shouldn’t have flashes.

You can then trace your way back to your starting point where you will be picked by our driver who will then take you back to the hotel/lodge for relaxing and dinner

Day 11:Hike the Dian Fossey’s graveyard.

Wake up very early, take breakfast and with your packed lunch leave for the the hike to the famous Dian Fossey’s grave yard  at Karisoke Research centre, where  brave Dian Fossey spent 18 years Studying , habituating and conserving the mountain gorillas. You not only visit the tomb but also encounter other wild like the buffalos, elephants ,different bird species and many more .You will then be driven back to your lodge /hotel for dinner and an overnight.

NB.Always remembers to carry a bottle of water and packed lunch.

Day 12:Transfer to Nyungwe National park

Wake up at your own pace, have breakfast and sign out. Our driver will then drive you to Nyungwe National park. With packed lunch, you will be driven via Kigali   for a city tour as you visit the genocide memorial sites, an d then rest at the King’s palace in Nyanza where you will be made king or queen for a day after which you will be taken to your hotel /lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 13 : Chimp trekking

Wake up early,, have your breakfast and join the other trackers at the park for briefing by the park rangers before you live for your tracking experience of the awesome primates.Althuogh  Nyungwe National park has slippery  terrain that is strenuous  to trek, the trekking experience is worth it , because you not only track the chimps but  meet  the I’Hoast monkeys, vervet monkeys,  Grey cheeked   Mangabeys, Angola monkeys, Silver mokeys , Red tailed monkeys,  and Olive Baboons since it is their habitat. You may also have an opportunity of birding with about 300 bird species.

Day 14:Departure

Have a hearty breakfast and leave for acanopy walk as you will be guided by the ranger, later after the after activity, you will check out and proceed to Kigali city with possible visit to the Genocide memorial. To later transfer to Kigali International Airport for evening Flight.
