Day 1.Transfer to Akagera national Park, and a boat ride
You will be picked by our guide from your convenient point of pick up by our driver who will brief you about your tour details and drive to Akagera National Park. The drive will take about 2 hours of which the last 45 minutes will be spent on a dirty but paved road.
Register at the park entrance, after which you will be given a game park guide who will take you around as your sighting begins from the entrance where you meet the common zebras later as you continue, you will also spot the Giraffes, Impalas, water bucks Topis and buffaloes.
After your sighting , you will be driven to your preferred hotel for Check in and lunch, where after you can decide to rest or go for a 2 hours boat ride in Lake Ihema at A kagera national park.
Have dinner and an overnights stay.
Day 2.Fullday game drive
out of your bed very early and have your breakfast at 6:30 am. With your en-route lunch, set off for a drive via Mutumba Hill towards the Northern section of the park famous of the great wildlife overlooking Tanzania with a great wildlife spotting section having both savannah woodlands and plein savannah grassland.
You will then have lunch in the open plains and continue spotting the Elands, buffalos, Massai giraffes : and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3:Gorilla Trekking
Rise up as early as possible , have breakfast and carry packed lunch with at least one liter of bottled water. Our driver will then drive you to kinigi headquarters for briefing about your trekking details and allocation of groups, which will be done according ones fitness and strength to trek a particular gorilla family. The trek may then take a duration of about 2-8 hours, on which you will be given an hour in the presence of the gorillas before tracing your way back to the starting point to meet our driver who will drive you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Visit the Iby’Iwachu cultural village and Gisenyi for relaxation.
Don’t panic like the other days, wake up at your own time , have breakfast and later have a relaxed walk to the Iby”Iwachu village and enjoy great performaces from the reprica of the king’s palace of Rwanda where you can become a king/queen of the day. Other performances such as the Kinyarwanda dance, the medicine man, blacksmith and the local food, and grinding will give the real picture of their culture
You can then continue to Gisenyi for acity drive as you tour and later drive along lake kivu overlookinng DRC and have another relaxation while swimming in the white sand beach.
Day 6: City tour and departure
Since it is a relaxed drive after the activities you can also drive to the city,visit the Genocide memorial sites and then leave for the airport to catch up with your flight.
